An overall B average or high in all subjects as of the last day of April is the required academic minimum for a nominee to be considered.
Outstanding athletes should strive to be outstanding students. The nominee must be in the 8th grade and attend a public or private school in Chatham County.
Grades for finalist will be verified with the school counselor or an official school representative

Each nominee must have participated in at least 2 team sports complete season during his or her 8th grade year.
He or she must have lifted their school's team with a combination of outstanding performance & attitude.
A male & female winner will be selected from both Chatham County Public Schools &
Savannah Parochial Athletic League School

We understand that most middle school teams do not keep stats beyond scoring & that stats submitted have the potential to be inflated or created. In their nomination, please describe what your player did to help lead their team. The perspective of the administrator or AD is generally team goal oriented & therefore highly valued in the selection process.
